Wow - These are the best I've ever taken. If there aren't any awards out there yet for DVD mastering, there really should be and this one should have won for 2000... It was a crystal clear with virtually no motion blur or distortion. I suspect the movie was filmed in digital it's such a sharp transfer. Far newer DVDs I've done captures from have been pathetic (A&E productions in particular.)
As far as John and his character this time around - Wow. Are there men like this? Has any woman been so lucky? A generous, devoted, loving, happy man - Amazing that our intense, brooding, PASSIONATE John can make it look so convincing. I'll tell you something though - This character didn't really engage me until I was taking the captures. Something about spending some time with him I think. His moments on screen were fleeting and somewhat 2-dimentional. Slow it down and hang out with him, however - watch his face, movements - and the man becomes real. Clear your hard drives ladies... Over 9 megs total!
