This is a real beauty - Yet another brilliant DVD transfer. I loved this film when I first saw it on full screen VHS - Letterbox DVD was a spiritual experience (no pun intended.) This may be the first time we get a long haired, bearded John when it's actually his real hair (not a wig, extentions, pasted on whiskers, etc.) and it's really spectacular! I think the war braiding might be the sexiest thing I've ever seen. And the blue, blue eyes - don't look directly at them, you'll go blind. John isn't the only stud in this LotR-style Bible epic, Edward Woodward proves that John doesn't have the corner on the silver fox market.
