I really like John in this one but to get to him you have to endure the most horrendous acting I've ever encountered - Little Lord Fauntleroy is simply awful (and his mother isn't a whole lot better.) Some time around the fourth or fifth time I watched this I had a realization - the two actors mentioned were British. They must be. No one can act that badly in their own language - yet, a Brit trying to impersonate an American successfully (or vice versa) is close to impossible. Anyway, John's eyes twinkle a lot (in spite of all the scowling) and I can't take my eyes off him. Watch it without the sound and you'll be fine.
