I'm not sure I can fairly review John in this one... It's going to be a sentimental favorite forever and I can't see past my personal attachment to get a fix on his performance. Some of you may know that I went to see John in a play in London October of 2005. Of course, everyone wanted to know what he was like when I got back and I was unable to give a screen example... Until I saw this show, shortly after my return. I'm not sure I can pin down *exactly* what's so different about him here than in other performances or why bells rang for me. Partially, it's how he looks (a lot like he did in person at the performance) - but it's also about his on-screen presence/personality. I don't know... It's just undefinable.
